AI Makes Cents

Based in Aotearoa, I take a pragmatic approach to AI. No buzzwords, no silver bullets — just honest conversations about what AI can (and can’t) do for your business, followed by solid execution.

I grew up at Te Aroha Paa marae in south Taranaki. Twenty-plus years later I’d managed national data centre infrastructure at Revera, run technology at Rugby World Cup 2011 venues, and delivered projects for NZ Police, Ministry of Health, and Statistics NZ — including the country’s first online Census.

The chapter that shaped RED SKY 365 most was ICT Service Delivery Manager at Whanganui DHB. When COVID hit, we deployed Windows Virtual Desktop across the hospital in days, stood up Aotearoa’s first Teams-based telehealth service, and became the first in Asia Pacific to put an AI chatbot into Microsoft Teams for hospital staff. That work was featured on the global Microsoft 365 blog.

RED SKY 365 grew from a simple observation: the same tools that kept a hospital running during a pandemic could transform how iwi, small businesses, and community organisations work. We don’t sell technology. We make it useful.
