DIG — AI Reports for Ten Bucks
Here’s a situation I heard roughly a dozen times before I built DIG.
Someone has a spreadsheet. Maybe it’s sales data, or survey results, or a membership list with some financial columns. They need to understand what’s in it — not just the raw numbers, but the story. Trends, outliers, what to do next. They could hire a consultant, but that costs thousands. They could spend hours in Excel pivot tables, but they’re not confident with pivot tables. They could ask someone in the team, but nobody has time.
So the spreadsheet sits there. And the decision that needed the data gets made on gut feel instead.
What DIG does
You upload your file — CSV, Excel, PDF, or JSON. You tell DIG what you’re trying to understand. You chat with it like you’d chat with a very patient analyst who has already read your data and is ready to answer questions.
When you’re ready, you hit generate. DIG produces a professionally formatted PDF report — branded, readable, with charts and tables and plain-English commentary. The kind of thing you’d be comfortable emailing to your board or your manager.
It costs $9.99 NZD per report. No subscription. No monthly fee. You pay for what you use, when you use it.
Who it’s for
Small business owners who need to present data to their bank or their board. Not-for-profit coordinators pulling together funder reports. Operations managers making sense of monthly figures. Project leads who need to show progress without spending three days in PowerPoint.
Basically: anyone who has data and needs to explain it to someone else, and doesn’t have a data analyst on staff to do it for them.
The honest bit
DIG is powered by Claude — the same AI that’s used by researchers and analysts around the world. It’s genuinely good at reading data and writing coherent commentary. But it’s not magic. If your data is messy, your report will reflect that. If you ask a vague question, you’ll get a vague answer. Rubbish in, rubbish out — that hasn’t changed.
What it’s exceptionally good at is the first pass. Getting from raw spreadsheet to something intelligible in five minutes instead of five hours. That’s where most of the value is.
If you want to give it a try, the app is live at app.redsky365.com. First report will show you whether it’s useful for your situation.
